Why?

Why pack up your life, take your kids out of school, and put your careers on hold? Why not, is the short answer! More seriously, it started with a trip to New Zealand in 2019, I was 5 months pregnant, we already had Izzy (2.5 years old) and Jasmine (18 months old). We loved it so much we went back the next year with Oscar just 7 months old.

It was whilst we were in New Zealand, loving life hanging out as a family, visiting friends and exploring, we thought "why wait until we retire, to do the things we love?" We both love sailing and dreamt of going cruising. We also love hanging out with our kids and wanted to have more magical moments together, whilst we all still can. So, that was it, on a hike in New Zealand we decided - once Oscar could swim and had a year of school under his belt, we'd set off in 2024.
